Kate Godwin
Experience
I went to College of Charleston and from there started to work for a wine importer and was allowed the opportunity and eat my way around Europe and the US. I met farmers and small local business owners, and when I was worn-out from travel, I realized I whole-heartedly loved old houses and loved the idea of a small boutique firm.
Strengths
I'd say I have a way with people. That’s what I’ve heard. I feel that when we purchase a home we learn a lot about ourselves. I love all the conversations and the ofter wild house hunt, to help a Buyer find what they’ve always wanted, even when they don't even know what that is yet. And that path can be tricky on many levels. I understand the finances, the risks, the benefits and all the ways the process can make someone feel overwhelmed. Same for a Seller. I can help Buyers and Sellers make the absolute most of a move in any market.

Where are you from?
I grew up in Roswell (some people call that Atlanta) but since moving back from all over the country (L.A., Telluride, and Charleston) in my late 20’s, I am completely devoted to intown living and continue to hold a serious soft-spot for my childhood 1970's swim-tennis community.
Hobbies
I love to play soccer and love to eat food at restaurants all over the city. I have three kids and a couple old pups, all keep me very much on the move. I love to paddle board, the ocean and any ways I can find to slow-down and simply adore the people I love.
“I’ve been at Adams for almost 20 years. I’ve grown up at Adams. I love a firm with a family feel. This work is much much too personal to do it any other way.”
